COLUMBIANA, OHIO - For foundries that require gassing and tamping capabilities in their coremaking processes, Humtown Products now makes a companion product to their unique UNItube blow tube system.

The UNIplug from Humtown works in conjunction with the UNItube. Like the UNItube, it is made of impact-resistant plastic that absorbs stress - thus preventing damage to core boxes due to misalignment.

However, the UNIplug has a smaller inside diameter, and also allows the insertion of a mesh or slotted core vent. When the vent is not in place, the UNIplug serves as a gassing tube. When the vent is inserted, the UNIplug can be used as a tamping tube to help eliminate the amount of finishing required at the blow area of the core.

In other respects, the UNIplug boasts the same features that has made the UNItube the choice of a growing number of U.S. foundries. The tips can be cut to accommodate virtually any flow rate, so foundries need to stock only one size. The UNIPlug installs easily with the same tools and procedures used for the UNItube.
