Job Description / Opening

Full-time jobs available for Production Forklift/Warehouse. Will work a minimum 6 day – 6 hour/day work schedule. Overtime may be required. We are hiring for the morning and afternoon shifts.

  • Keep all running machines supplied with the correct material recipe
  • Make sure no machine runs out of packaging material
  • Make sure no machine receives more material than the job can consume
  • Stack and assist with packaging of cores
  • Stack material in locations as needed
  • Transport finished product to warehouse
  • Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers, by hand-truck or forklift
  • Attach identifying tags to pallets or mark them with identifying information
  • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs
  • Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping to pallets of parts to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported
  • Maintain storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected
  • Learn such items as job history, what has to be filed or mudded, how to properly finish and pack cores for shipment, what is print or casting, to read the job card/process sheet for directions, and ask questions whenever uncertain about any aspect of the job duties
  • Other duties as assigned

Skill and Education:

  • Basic reading and math skills
  • Able to understand and follow instructions and procedures
  • Able to operate computers (or learn to do so)
  • Forklift certification (to be obtained on the job)

Physical Abilities Required:

  • Operate a forklift and hand-truck in a safe and efficient manner
  • Walk and stand for extensive periods
  • Move with coordination and dexterity
  • Climb ladders and stairs, and be comfortable working from heights
  • Possess the manual dexterity needed to use hand tools
  • Work in tight areas and awkward positions
  • Have good eyesight (corrective lenses permitted)
  • Lift an average of 30 lbs. per day; lift up to 70 lbs. on a regular basis; lift up to 90 lbs. occasionally; lift over 90 lbs. with assistance as necessary
